Michael Jarnagin:
Michael Jarnagin is the sole proprietor of Garden Designs. GD was founded in 2000 as a residential landscape design company. Shortly afterwards Michael joined forces with his wife Ania to begin the Garden Designs team.
Michael began his career as a young gardener over twenty five years ago in Berkshire, England. It was from here that he decided that horticulture was his main passion and therefore pursued a career as a Horticulturist. After working for four years for the National Trust, Clivden - Michael graduated from the Berkshire College of Agriculture with a National Certificate in Horticulture. Considered one of the most treasured estates in the UK, Michael credits his time at Clivden as an experience that greatly influences his landscape practices today.
After completing college in the UK, Michael moved to California in 1991 and continued to study horticulture.
In 1999 he graduated from Cal Poly State University with a BS in Ornamental Horticulture with an emphasis on Habitat restoration. Throughout his early career Michael has worked with some of the top residential developers / architects in the bay area as well as the city of Oakland.
